Eat Cheese Or Fly (ECOF) 2000

The day started with cooler temperatures than expected. But they sky
looked O.K. at 8:00 AM during range setup. But rain was falling at 9:00.
Wet clothes left everyone shivering. The rain fell for about 15-20 minutes,
then left. But low clouds (3500') and brisk winds (8-10 mph with gusts
measured to 18 mph) kept a lot of rockets grounded. A few that braved the
heights drifted and drifted and drifted. Blue sky did appear during the afternoon,
as did hot and humid weather,
but the threat severe weather caused the range to be closed an hour early
as nobody wanted to clear the range in rain. Poor weather in other parts of
Wisconsin and in Illinois kept a lot of people away.
