Treasurer's Report
Membership Report - We are now at 55 Adult members and 13
Junior members. A big welcome to our newest member, Walt Evans.
New flying field in Sussex was brought up. We decided to
ask Gabe to reserve the field for the third weekend in each month. Someone asked
if club members could use the field for personal launches. That is up to the
individual. When Gabe had me look at the field in October there was a family
flying rockets there. This activity is common on this field.
Sod farm launch report. We had 14 of the MITI kids show up
to fly their rockets at the November launch. Quite a few of our guests stayed to
watch the usual fun and games.
Mark Stehlik and Scott Goebel gave a demonstration at Cub
Scout pack 100 in Muskego. The boys are building Alpha III’s and will be
attending our December 7th. Sod farm launch.
Pavel and Tom Pinkas, Dan Wolf and family, Gene Kromray,
Brent Lillesand, Mark Talkington, and Scott Goebel and family are planning to
attend the “October Fly” contest in St. Louis.

Jerry Selensky will host the
Christmas party this year. It
will be held on December 14th at 4:00 pm. Jerry stated that beer
would be on the menu. Please bring a dish to pass and any soft drinks that you wish to consume.
Two new members were welcomed at the meeting. Walt and
Greg had attended the November sod farm launch and look forward to flying with
us at future events.
Newsletter editor has asked for submissions. Please help
us publish a fine newsletter by including your rocketry stories or rocket plans.
Name badges were discussed. Kurt’s yahoo email address has
gone down the drain and he is unable to retrieve any messages stored there. The
club president asked if we could simply make up cards for all members. Kurt
agreed to start printing up cards for everyone. Kurt’s new email address is
kurt_schachner@wooshrocketry.org.
More building parties were requested. The club president
will look into reserving the back room at Greenfield News and Hobby for a
building party.
Mark Stehlik suggested that we send some kind of thank you
gift or card to Greenfield News and Hobby.
Club launch equipment maintenance was discussed. Brent has
the pad boxes and will bring them to the Christmas party. All other equipment is
at the trailer at Jerry’s house already. The club is in need of good used or new
batteries for the upcoming flying season. Many options were discussed including
Ni-Cad, UPS pulls, lead-acid batteries, Gel cells, and cordless power tool
batteries. Jerry Selensky volunteered to look into the battery issue and price
out our options.
The club’s Pratt Surefire box still works but needs a new
switch. Scott Hansen volunteered to contact Doug Pratt to see how we can get it
repaired. In his discussions with Doug, Doug has offered to fix it free of
charge. Mark Stehlik will ship it out after the December sod farm launch.
Club Officer elections were held. No one dared to run a
campaign against any of the current officers. As a result all persons will
retain their current officer status.
