Congratulations and good luck!
We discussed the new outreach survey form that Brent Lillesand had prepared. This form will allow the club officers to keep track of year round outreach efforts that club members work on. The form is on our web site or it can be obtained by contacting a club officer. Please fill it out after working on an outreach activity then send it on to the club president. The results will be used for the NAR section of the year survey.
Job descriptions have been written for club officer positions. Contact the president to obtain a copy.
The 2003 needs fixin section survey was discussed. The results of the information gathered at the meeting will be sent in to the NAR HQ.
Sussex field reservations were discussed. We will be reserving the park for Space day only this year. Many members felt that we did not need to reserve that park for every launch weekend. Gabe has spoken to the village board. He will come up with dates for regular launches that do not interfere with other activities at the park. These dates will be published sometime in January.
The dog trainer meeting where we get our dates for Richard Bong state recreation area is scheduled for January 14th at 7:00 pm. Scott Goebel will be there to secure dates this year for WOOSH and NIRA. NIRA plans to hold MRFF there during the month of June.
We announced the launch at Brand farm. Several members were interested in attending but hadn’t heard about it. I encourage everyone with Internet access to subscribe to the WOOSH email list. The list doesn’t flood your inbox, but you will receive timely messages about launch information and club business.
WOOSH is hosting NARCON 2004 at the University of Wisconsin at Parkside. Kevin Wickart is our NARCON chairman. He has roped several members into assisting him in the preparations for the conference. They are Scott Goebel, Mike Vande Bunt, Pavel Pinkas, Gabe Kolesari, and Dan Wolf. Kevin entertained us with a presentation of factoids and figures related to planning the conference and how well the work is going.
