Please welcome Carol and Randy Lutz from the Rockets for Schools program.

Carol and Randy will give a presentation explaining the launch day preparations for Rockets for Schools. This was excellent video made by a Team.  WOOSH members are being recruited to assist with the tracking of the rocket flights.  Scott Goebel was at Sheboygan last year and was able to assist at the tracking stations. It was a lot of fun and I hope you will join us for this year’s event on May 13th and 14th.  Randy would like 6-8 people to help with tracking May 14th 8-5pm.

NARCON 2005 committee report - There will be a NARCON committee meeting following the regular meeting at the Forum. All interested and interesting members are invited.

NARCON 2005 Precollege program "Make it take it and launch it" will be discussed.

We will need short rocketry presentations for the beginning of the program to prime the kids to get ready to build their rockets.  Please bring your ideas for exciting, energetic, fascinating presentations.

The WOOSH P.A. system is in fine shape with the addition of the new horns that Scott Goebel hunted down at Chester electronics in Kenosha.  The P.A. sounded much better with the horns at the January 8th launch. Now it is time to devote some time to organizing the P.A. electronic gear into a rack to make set up and tear down at the launches quicker and simpler. Dean Gelinskey

Volunteered to build a cabinet to hold all the equipment.

Team America progress report.  Does WOOSH want to organize a launch specifically for TARC teams to practice?  The idea of hosting a launch at NARCON came up.

Student launch Initiative report. Mad West and the University school teams are preparing for their Critical Design Review with NASA. The reports are due on the first of February.  The launch date for the SLI teams to fly their experiments is set for April 23rd in Alabama. This date just happens to coincide with a launch at Bong. Discussion - Who will step up to run the WOOSH launch at Bong while the President, Vice President, and Newsletter editor are away? Dean and Jerry volunteered to run the April launch.

Review of WOOSH launch dates at Richard Bong state Recreational Area for 2005.

Dean bought up launching twice a month at the Sod farm.  Scott will call the owner.

A concern was bought up that Skidmark motors causing fires.  We will look in purchasing more fire extinguishers.

A vote was held to donate all the launch money made at the NARCON launch to the NAR legal fund.  Vote passed.
