At all launches where the club launch equipment is used (usually Bong launches only), there will be a launch fee for people flying "F" size motors or larger.  The fee is $5.00 for WOOSH members and $10.00 for non-members.  Any member who volunteers to tow the club trailer to an event will not have to pay the launch fee.

All of the Sport Launches at the Sod Farm have a theme this year.  Check them out and join in the fun!

Certified Peat and Sod

Certified Peat and Sod has given WOOSH permission to use its sod farm only during club launches. (See schedule.)

Do not use this site at any other time unless the club president has received permission from the owner!

This field supports small rockets and motors along with some mid-power, depending on the wind speed and direction.  Launches at this site are "bring your own launcher" type events. Having your own launcher is not a requirement as club members with their own launchers are always happy to share.

Parking is now permitted on the field itself. The new owner would prefer we not get squished by the dump trucks rumbling by on the highway. ;-) You can still park on the highway, but you may now also park on the field if you feel more safe that way and don't want to have to walk as far.

All trash (motor packages, motors, igniters, igniter plugs, wadding, food or beverage containers, etc.) must be removed from the area. Please leave the area as clean as you found it.

Click HERE for a map to the sod farm location.

  1. Go south on Moorland Rd., south of I-94.
  2. Go to Lincoln Ave.
  3. Go west on Lincoln to 18400 W. Lincoln.
  4. Park on the street or in the nearby office lot.
