Hybrid Support

 

WOOSH is proud to announce that we now have the ground support equipment setup required for the floating injector type hybrid motors such as the Sky Ripper Systems, RATT works, Propulsion Polymers and West Coast Hybrids type of hybrid motors.

 

We currently only have experience using the Sky Ripper motors.

 

IMPORTANT: We do not have the additional ground support equipment required for the HyperTek hybrid motors, sorry.

There will be an additional fill fee associated with these motors to cover the cost of the nitrous oxide (N20).  The fee is based upon the amount of nitrous used.  We charge a fill fee for each full fill, despite any igniter and ignition troubles with the motors.

 

The current fee structure is as follows for the Sky Ripper motors:

 

29MM MOTORS

 

ALL MOTORS WILL BE $4.00 PER FLIGHT

 

38MM MOTORS

 

38/220                                    $ 4.50

38/400                                    $ 5.50

38/580                                    $ 8.00

 

The flyer is expected to furnish the solid fuel component for their motor.

 

WOOSH members are permitted to use the clubs 38mm Sky Ripper motors after adequate instruction.   This is with the understanding that if you fly it and lose it, you will be required to replace the lost hardware before the next launch.

 

Prices are based upon the cost that we are charged to replace the nitrous.

 

 

The image above is a PML GAMMA modified for dual deployment.

On the right side of the airframe you will notice some gas venting.
This is the N2O indicating that the rocket is fueled and ready to go.

 

 

This is the same rocket during the boost phase.  The rocket reached an altitude
of 2388 feet using the Sky Ripper 38/400 motor with the PVC fuel grain.
