Mars Lander Challenge CompetitionThe Mars Lander Challenge is a variation of Sport Scale minus the flight portion of judging. The purpose of this contest is to introduce fellow NAR members to your personal vision of what the next generation of Mars Landers would look like.

NARCON “Mixer”—Held between the time the doors open on Friday evening and the start of the Opening Ceremonies, this is a chance for you to mingle with the other attendees, greet old friends and make new ones, find the meeting rooms, and visit the vendors.

Opening Ceremonies—A general welcome and orientation session where your NARCON Director will provide notes regarding any changes or updates as well as address the attendees.

Keynote Addresses—A chance for you to hear people of particular note speak on matters relating to the hobby of model rocketry. The NARCON 2006 speakers will be Leroy Piester and Matt Steele.  The Event Director Scott Goebel will also give a short address.

NAR Town Hall Meeting—NAR President Mark Bundick will conduct an open meeting for all attending NAR members.  The boxed lunches will be delivered to the room that the Town Hall meeting is held in.  The meeting will be held during lunch.

Raffle—Throughout the weekend we will be raffling off our ever-growing stockpile of prizes, donated by rocketry companies across the country. Our list of supporting vendors is here.

Pre-College MITI—This is actually before NARCON begins. We will be building rockets with middle school age students. This is for our host sponsor, UW-Parkside. There will be a launch later in the afternoon for the kids to fly the rockets. If you have an interest in helping out with the session please make sure you check it off on your registration form. More information will be upcoming on this event.

Movie & Photo Night—It's time to sit back relax and enjoy a video presentation of photos and movie clips of our launches and rockets. Cool rockets, CATOs, awesome launches, night launches, onboard cameras and the occasional lawn dart. Afterwards we will have an open discussion on how some of these photos and videos were made. Bring your tips and tricks to share with the audience. If you have any videos or photos you would like to share, please contact Mark Cymerman at mark@coolrocketry.com.
